What is this place?

This is the Rebellious Angels, a Supernatural based RPG set just as Season 5 of the TV series starts. Just to warn you right now, HERE BE SPOILERS! If you don't want to be spoilered for Season 5, well ya best be gettin' yerself outta here!

What is an RPG?

An RPG is an acronym standing for “Role Playing Game”. You assume a character, play their personality, quirks, habits, nuances, actions and speech as though you are that person through the magic of internet forum posting! Each player controls their character's actions. It's a really fun game to play, and people of all ages take part.

Speaking of acronyms, what are all these crazy things and what do they mean?

Are you anything to do with the REAL Supernatural cast/crew/writers/production team?!

Unfortunately, no. This is a fan site, run purely for fun. We make absolutely NO money out of this, trust me. If we did, we'd be able to quit our crappy jobs and run the site full-time from home, which would be MUCH more fun than what we do now! We also have no way of contacting any of these people, sorry about that. We do, however, follow Misha Collins (Castiel!) on his Twitter account. Feel free to follow him too, he's hilarious!

Alright... I think I'd like to join. What happens now?

Well, first of all, we CHEER! HURRAH! We LOVE new members, and we glomp them daily. Once you've been glomped (think of it as a metaphysical glomp once you click "Register"), we'd like you to read The Supernatural Commandments, and then the Main Plot. That should help you on your way.

Er... why has the main plot got so many swears in it?

Because this is a mature role-playing site, and the plot title was taken from a Marilyn Manson song that just happened to fit it perfectly. (Besides, I wrote the plot, and I love Manson. I think his music is ideal inspiration for Supernatural!)

Can I play a canon character?

Of course you can! We'd love you to play a canon. Just have a peek at our “Needed Canons” list, and pick one out. If a canon character is not shown, please PM an admin and ask are they available. If a canon character is displayed with a strike through their name, it means someone has claimed them.

I don't like any of the canons you have. Can I play an original character?

Sure you can! Fill out your profile, and an admin will review it and get back to you about whether or not it's been approved. Please don't post until it's been approved!

You rejected my character because she has seventeen names/has amethyst eyes that sparkle like rare rubies in the rainforest/has a deep and tragic past somehow connected with the Winchesters that will prove crucial to the future of the entire series! Why?!

Er, because your character is what we like to call a “Mary Sue”. Sue's not welcome here, y'all. Sues ruin the RP experience for EVERYONE because the whole plot HAS to revolve around this one person, who is soooooo beautiful/amazing/gifted that everyone is in love with her. Real characters have flaws, weaknesses and bad habits as much as they have talents, strengths and positive attributes. If you're unsure what a Mary Sue is, might I direct your attention over here: Urban Dictionary definition of a Sue. NB: If any of this offended you, your character is probably a Sue. Just sayin'.

Right... I'm all set up. What do I do now?

Pick an actor/model as your avatar, change your display name to your character's name and we can get you going from there. We prefer slightly less-well-known actors/models as people's PB s, mainly because you don't immediately associate a character's PB with “that guy in that one movie”. The only exception to this are actors from the cast of the Supernatural show.

I don't know what to do now!

Start an RP, or request one! You can PM a member to ask them to RP with you, but remember to be polite and only send one PM at any time, and wait a reasonable amount of time for them to reply. We have a thread in the chat section where you can make friends out of character.

You deleted my post/closed a thread I was in. Why is that?

Admins will ALWAYS let you know why this has happened. Usually, if your posts are deleted or threads are blocked, it is because they have either broken the rules, are not following the plot, involve god-moding (noooooooooooo!), are out of character or you have posted before your profile has been approved. This is almost always easily fixed, so don't panic.

Why is this character so mean? Are they like that IRL?

Usually, no! 99.999999% of the people on this site are lovely, lovely, chocolate-coated, caramel-centred chunks of loveliness. They may play bastard-coated bastards with bastard filling, but they have creamy centres in real life. (Points for anyone who gets the Dr. Cox paraphrasing!)

Where can I learn more about the Supernatural series and/or world?

The Supernatural Wikia is a great place to check, but be warned: MAJOR SPOILERAGE OF DOOM ON THIS SITE.

Can I use your graphics/rules/plot on my site?

No. You are welcome to ask, but the general rule is no. If we catch people swiping our stuff, we'll send Gordon after them. And he's a great Hunter... the way Hannibal Lecter is a great psychiatrist.

What if I take them anyway?

We'll STILL send Gordon after you, and possibly report you to your ISP for your intellectual property theft and bandwidth theft. I would prefer to wait for karma to get you, but the other admins believe in swift retribution. (insert evil laugh here)

I need more help that isn't mentioned here!

That's cool. Myself (Bobby!), Castiel, Aphreal or Lailah are all available if you need help. Just PM one of us!

Er... what's with the weird stuff in Castiel and Dean's profiles?

*Sigh* I knew this would happen... Lucifer, being a creatively vicious little bastid, decided to use a succubus to make Cas and Dean dream of one another and get a bit... friendlier with one another. If you want to read this fine, outstanding example of RPing (*coughcoughblatantunashamedslashcoughcough*) then click here, but don't say I didn't warn ya!
